Polar Loop (tm) this is a loop Made to frequency 1005/f out of
75 ohm coax both the center conductor and the Shield are
soldered together on each end fed into a 2:1 balun or fed with
300 Ohm flat line. Try to get it up between 45-66 feet height. I
try to make the Ends equal lengths about 63 feet. I cut the
Antenna so it would be resonant around 3700 kHz so the harmonics
would be easy matches, many times I don’t even need to use an
tuner. I love working Dx on 20 meters with the loop. I also hang
out Right now at night around 3855-3915 KHz.
My interests are Behavioral sciences, Fishing, and Lighthouse
vacations, metal Detecting, reading, dogs, and US Coins. Have a
Shari Pei and a Chow. The Shar Pei is probably the most loyal of
any dog I have owned. They are dangerous, However, to anyone who
intrudes on the property. I did not know this until Someone
tried to intrude on to the property and get away with a few
goodies.
I have extensive Satellite equipment. Three C-band Ku-Band
dishes analog, DVB Mpeg2 and DCII formats. I am a news junkie. I
enjoy watching things as they Happen, from SNG trucks and
Helicopters without the Commentary from the talking heads. I do
that myself late at night on 80 meters! I am currently working
on WAS on 160 Voice. |
